Winter amongst the Palms

Winter in Pacific Palms is truly magical! Whilst we are officially in 'low' holiday season here, holiday trends this winter have been consistent and we are loving entertaining our guests with uncrowded beaches, the Humpback Whale migration, quality waves and cozy nights in - whilst our tanks are full from the rain, there's been plenty of sunshine and sun-kissed faces around the Barrington Coast.

There is no better time to visit a Hola Palms Holiday Home before the summer rush at reduced off-season rates.

Hola Business Update

Winter are traditionally maintenance months for Hola Palms and we have been busy with managing renovations, upgrades, refurbishing, short term rental compliance and all routine scheduled household maintenance like annual pest inspections.

Our business development direction is taking us to expanding the portfolio of private estate management as well as on-boarding two new beachfront properties at both Blueys and Boomerang Beach.

We are also excited to be expanding into hosted corporate stays - being positioned within 3 hours drive of Sydney and 1.5 hours from Newcastle airport, we are the ideal reach for off-sites, strategy sessions and product launches. In-line with brand awareness and the ongoing promotion and marketing activities of the Hola Palms Holiday Homes, I've been working closely with Three Suns Studio who has given the Hola Palms website a fresh direction, check it out!

Complimenting the launch of the website refresh, we have also recently completed some fun styled shoots at Ocean Escape and Coast with local architectural photographer, Claudia Gabriel Lim.

Hola Palms was thrilled to collaborate with the luxurious Boomerang Beach holiday home, Mer Claire (previously 88SOUTH) to curate the taste of paradise and lifestyle we are so lucky to call home and live, every single day.

We are calling winter our style season and letting you in on our top 4 tips to style your holiday home property:

Install soft, sheer flowy curtains from the highest ceiling point to lengthen a room and enhance an element of softness to a modern space or hide older windows in an original space.
Purchase double of what you need per guest in relation to glassware, crockery and double that again in storage to allow for contingencies.
Always size up the doona and cover, layer with European pillows, the ‘chop’ works best with a feather inner and don’t be afraid to play with colour and texture.
Make your home smell like a holiday! Leave a lasting scent memory with a signature room spray.

Some of my favourite work days are spent 'fluffing' about, moving, shifting, colour pairing, layering and perfecting each home and it's unique presentation and also offering a provisioning service to the homes I work with in the set-up and re-style phases.

I have spent so much of my life on the Island of Bali, that I enjoy an extraordinary kinship with its people, culture and ancient traditions. From early childhood I was immersed in the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of a rich heritage that I now share with my own children.

My travels throughout Indonesia have kindled a desire to share the vibrant bounty that Island life has to offer. I source unique quality textiles in hidden corners of Indonesia which have been used in, and provide inspiration for my surfboard designs.

I have a long history in Surfing; I first rode the nose of my dad's surfboard at age 7, my first job was filming for Australian Surfing Coach, Martin Dunn, and I owned and operated the Salt Water Surf School whilst studying psychology at University.

I have an understanding of what women are looking for in a surfboard, and love to create custom designs and shapes that make them feel good! (Though i am also happy to create for the men in your lives too!)

Having spent time out of the water raising babies, it became important for me to create a surfboard that is not only functional but doubles in intrinsic value by moonlighting as a piece of art for the home between surf sessions- whilst motivating you to get back into the water when the time is right.

Our surfboards are high performance surfboards that can define your performance in the water as easily as they enhance your walls.
